Urdu Punjabi Congregation – Resurrection International Church
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, our Urdu Punjabi Congregation at Resurrection International Church came together in a spirit of warmth, unity, and deep love to celebrate Mother’s Day. This heartfelt gathering was not just a service—it was a tribute filled with emotions, culture, and old memories that touched every heart present.
The celebration was beautifully enriched by the sweet expressions of the Urdu and Punjabi languages—our heart languages—that brought back childhood memories of mothers’ lullabies, homemade meals, and the comforting presence of a mother’s prayer. These cultural expressions added a deep and emotional connection, making the service feel like home.
Every mother was honored with fresh flowers and precious gifts lovingly presented by the Church clergy and their families, reflecting the respect and affection that is deeply rooted in our South Asian traditions. Many smiled with joy—and some were moved to tears—as they were reminded of the values and love passed down through generations.
The service also included songs and messages that resonated with the memories of our upbringing—reminding us of the strength, faith, and sacrifices of our mothers, who carried us through every storm with prayerful hands and tender hearts.
We thank the Lord for this special day where we not only celebrated our mothers, but also rejoiced in the rich heritage of Urdu and Punjabi culture, which made the occasion feel even more personal, emotional, and sacred.
